Mustafa Suleyman is a British entrepreneur who co-founded DeepMind with Demis Hassabis and Shane Legg in 2010 and led its applied work after the Google acquisition. He left DeepMind in 2019 and co-founded Inflection AI in 2022 with Reid Hoffman and Karén Simonyan, building the conversational LLM Pi. In March 2024 most of Inflection's research staff and Suleyman himself moved to Microsoft AI, where he became CEO of the new division. His 2023 book The Coming Wave makes a case for the dual-use risks of advanced AI and biotechnology.
